I’m a second-generation natural intuitive and empath. My mother was also gifted. As a child, it was normal and expected for my mom to tell us not to go to a particular place or do a specific thing because she ‘knew’ or ‘sensed’ that something terrible was going to happen. And invariably, it did. One morning when I was about 12 years old, she told us that during the night, she awakened, bolting upright in her bed, with the ‘knowing’ that a close family friend had unexpectedly passed away. Later that day, we discovered she was correct. So, I learned from a very early age to trust her intuition.
I shared this intuitive ability, sensing energies around and emanating from people. Friends and family seemed to sense this about me, so I constantly drew others who sought my advice.
When I was 26 years old, I already had three children and had been in an abusive and dysfunctional marriage for nine years. Feeling distraught one Saturday night, I was on my knees in prayer, pleading for guidance, when suddenly I was swept away into a vision with a Being of Light. This Being made it clear that She was my Heavenly Mother and that She loved me and cared about me very much. She also told me not to fear because She was watching over me always. This event was so profound that the next day, at church, I stood in front of the large congregation and testified publicly about the experience.
Years later, but still, in the broken marriage, I felt a prompting to purchase my first set of runes. I’m Swedish on my mother’s side, so I always felt a connection with my Scandinavian/Norse heritage. Those runes led me out of my dysfunctional and abusive marriage of eighteen years and directed my path to meet my Soul Mate just one month after leaving.
In 2003, I thought it might be fun and interesting to learn how to read tarot cards. So, after learning the cards, I began practicing with family and friends. It turns out I had a knack for readings. I continued to improve my skill over the years, and in 2008 I got my first job working for an online spiritual coaching (or psychic reading) website.
